Welcome to Shiny Shower. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our services.
These Terms apply to all users of our website and customers of our shower repair, regrouting, waterproofing, and renovation services.
Shiny Shower provides professional shower repair, leak detection, waterproofing, regrouting, silicone replacement, and complete shower rebuild services throughout Melbourne, Victoria.
Services are subject to availability and scheduling. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred appointment times but cannot guarantee specific dates or times until confirmed.
We primarily service the Melbourne metropolitan area and surrounding regions. Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices may be subject to change after this period due to material cost fluctuations or other factors.
Quotes are based on the information provided and our initial assessment. If additional work is discovered during the job that was not visible or disclosed during the quoting process, we will notify you immediately and provide a revised quote before proceeding.
We provide fixed-price quotes where possible. In cases where the full extent of work cannot be determined until demolition or inspection, we will provide an estimate and communicate any variations before proceeding.
All prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
A deposit may be required before work commences, typically 30-50% of the total quote amount. The deposit secures your booking and covers material ordering.
We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or cash. Payment details will be provided on your invoice.
Final payment is due upon completion of work unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed in writing. Work is considered complete when you have signed off on the job or when we have notified you of completion.
Overdue accounts may incur interest charges and collection costs. We reserve the right to suspend services or pursue legal action for unpaid invoices.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less notice may result in forfeiture of deposit or a cancellation fee to cover costs already incurred.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments in cases of emergency, severe weather, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at your convenience.
We provide a 10-year guarantee on all waterproofing, regrouting, and shower repair work. This guarantee covers workmanship and materials against defects under normal use conditions. Full terms are provided in your guarantee certificate.
The warranty does not cover:
To make a warranty claim, contact us with your guarantee certificate number. We will inspect the issue within a reasonable timeframe. If the issue is covered under warranty, we will repair it at no cost. Our decision on warranty coverage is final.
You must provide clear access to the work area and notify us of any access restrictions, parking limitations, or site-specific requirements before work commences.
You must provide accurate information about the property, existing damage, previous repairs, and any known issues. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect our quote and warranty.
You must ensure access to water and electricity where required for our work. Any special requirements should be communicated in advance.
For safety reasons, please keep pets and children away from the work area during our service.
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Our liability is limited to the cost of rectifying defective work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use, accommodation costs, or other expenses arising from service delays or defects.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or structural issues not caused by our work. We will notify you if we discover such issues during the job.
While we take care to protect your property, we recommend removing valuable or fragile items from the work area. We are not responsible for items not removed or damage to fixtures not included in the scope of work.
We use premium, professional-grade materials suitable for the application. Where you supply materials (such as tiles), we cannot guarantee their quality or suitability, and our warranty may be affected.
If specified materials become unavailable, we will notify you and suggest suitable alternatives. Work may be delayed pending your approval of alternatives.
While we make every effort to match existing colors and finishes, perfect matches cannot be guaranteed due to variations in manufacturing, aging, and lighting conditions.
All work is performed by qualified, experienced technicians to industry best practices and relevant Australian Standards, including AS 3740 for waterproofing.
Our team members hold appropriate licenses and qualifications for plumbing, waterproofing, and tiling work as required by Victorian law.
