Need shower leak detection in Altona? We help narrow down where the moisture is coming from so you can make a better repair decision.
Leak detection is useful when you know there is moisture around the shower but the exact source is still unclear.
In Altona, this is common in coastal homes, tiled bathrooms, and showers exposed to regular moisture and salt air, especially where showers have been repaired before but the underlying issue has not been fully confirmed. If you are comparing options, our main shower leak detection page explains the broader Melbourne service as well.
We look at what you have noticed and where the moisture is appearing.
The goal is to work out whether the likely issue is grout, silicone, waterproofing, or something bigger.
Once the cause is clearer, the next step becomes much easier to plan.
People searching for shower leak detection in Altona are often trying to avoid wasting money on the wrong repair. Understanding the likely cause first leads to a smarter decision.
If you already know the problem is active water escape, you may also want to compare this page with our shower leak repair service. Further reading is available in our guides on leaking showers, cracked grout, and loose tiles.

A beautiful job by the shiny shower team. Perfect craftsmanship, I am very impressed. It isn't looking like new tiles for our shower floor.
Shiny Shower lived up to their name. Daniel did a great job, and the end result was magnificent. The shower looked brand new, as if it's never been used. Great job!

We had a few renos going on but a full bathroom reno was not in the budget. From first in-person consult, to booking via their online system was easy and timely. Daniel came out to do a full regrout with epoxy / re-silicone all completed in a day. I can now shower with ease without mouldy silicone and failed grout! I will definitely use them again for our upstairs bathrooms 😊

By the time we found Shiny Showers we were honestly over it, but they handled everything properly from the start and gave us a lot more confidence in the trade industry. Daniel is such a great guy and im happy to recommend him and his team to anyone who needs bathroom and shower work from now on. Thanks for everything mate.

Ended up being cheaper and way more reliable. Were very happy with the finish. No more worrying about leaks which is the main thing we wanted. Pretty straightforward process and no issues with the team.

I requested a complete shower rebuild of my shower in an older style apartment block. Daniel, the installer, was a great communicator and explained the process, every step of the way. This company is professional, experienced, and does high-quality tiling and certificated waterproofing work. The result was a very smart looking ultra modern shower. If ever I need a shower rebuild service into the future, I will be calling them again.

We experienced full transparency on the quote too, a 24 hour window for 10% discount, deposit & balance of payment. Nothing left in doubt. No uncertainty here. Only time will tell whether the quality of the waterproof epoxy & low maintenance will prove true. We were assured it will. There is one sad thing though - Daniel delayed taking his lunch until the job was well completed & the epoxy well set! Thanks, Daniel, for your "no compromise" attitude towards excellent results!

Finding an owner-operator who actually does the work himself rather than passing you off to a sub-contractor is so rare these days, but Daniel treats your home like it’s his own. He just finished resealing and regrouting both of our shower bases with epoxy grout, and the craftsmanship is next-level. The job was completed to such a high standard, and the cleanliness throughout the process was incredible, not a speck of mess left behind. If your shower needs repair, don’t hesitate or risk getting caught out with sub-contractors. Having the owner himself complete the job makes all the difference. Booking Daniel is easily the best decision you can make to get your showers looking brand new again! 🚿✨
These guys are pros when it comes to shower grout. Our showers look like new again. Thanks!

They also added the little shelf in the wall which is actually super handy. Job was done on time and no issues at all.
Exceptional service! The team was professional and completed the work on time. Highly recommend.

He arrived on time each time which is no feat and was much appreciated as we negotiated home and work life. Daniel also did a fantastic job with our bathrooms - each having several issues: water damaged tiles and minor leaks (Causing various flow on effects to ceilings and floors). I highly recommend Daniel. Our bathrooms look great and more importantly are waterproofed and sealed.

The previous shower was done badly and ended up leaking into the timber underneath, so we needed it rebuilt properly from scratch. You can tell straight away this one’s been done with a lot more care. The falls to the drain are spot on, it looks clean, and the whole base feels solid. Honestly, such a relief to have it fixed properly by actual professionals. I very much recommend Daniel and Shiny Showers for your shower work :) Thank you Daniel and your amazing team.

Every step was performed thoroughly and with care. Daniel explained each step from the grout used down to the tile sealer. The grout lines are clean and the tile surfaces restored to their former sheen. The screen doors were cleaned and the shower door moulding replaced with new. We picked Daniel because of his tiling background and we wanted someone that has the expertise to fix any issues if they pop up during the job. Happy to recommend Shiny Shower!!

They were great to deal with, patient, understanding, and took the time to understand what she needed instead of rushing through the job. We decided to change it to a shower base and will use an adhesive floor mat to help reduce the risk of slipping while showering. I really appreciated how thoughtful and considerate they were with her situation. It didn’t feel like just another job to them.
