Need shower leak detection in Northcote? We help narrow down where the moisture is coming from so you can make a better repair decision.
Leak detection is useful when you know there is moisture around the shower but the exact source is still unclear.
In Northcote, this is common in family homes, duplexes, older bathrooms, and updated wet areas with mixed repair needs, especially where showers have been repaired before but the underlying issue has not been fully confirmed. If you are comparing options, our main shower leak detection page explains the broader Melbourne service as well.
We look at what you have noticed and where the moisture is appearing.
The goal is to work out whether the likely issue is grout, silicone, waterproofing, or something bigger.
Once the cause is clearer, the next step becomes much easier to plan.
People searching for shower leak detection in Northcote are often trying to avoid wasting money on the wrong repair. Understanding the likely cause first leads to a smarter decision.
If you already know the problem is active water escape, you may also want to compare this page with our shower leak repair service. Further reading is available in our guides on leaking showers, cracked grout, and loose tiles.

There was a lot of mould and rotten wood underneath, so they had to remove the shower base and redo the waterproofing properly! It made a huge difference! I've got before and after photos and the improvement is very clear! They also sorted a few cracked tiles in another bathroom as part of a separate shower repair. Everything was done quickly and Daniel was very professional. 5/5 stars!

The space is pretty narrow but they made it feel a lot more open and modern. Tiles are straight, finish is neat, and the drainage works properly now which was our biggest issue before. They were easy to deal with, turned up when they said they would, and didn’t leave a mess behind. Happy with the result.
Excellent job, professionally done. Attention to detail, friendly service, you can't ask for more. The house was brand new in 1995, this is the second job to freshen up the shower, to re-grout and eradicate mould. Many thanks!!!

Every step was performed thoroughly and with care. Daniel explained each step from the grout used down to the tile sealer. The grout lines are clean and the tile surfaces restored to their former sheen. The screen doors were cleaned and the shower door moulding replaced with new. We picked Daniel because of his tiling background and we wanted someone that has the expertise to fix any issues if they pop up during the job. Happy to recommend Shiny Shower!!

I requested a complete shower rebuild of my shower in an older style apartment block. Daniel, the installer, was a great communicator and explained the process, every step of the way. I’m very happy with the results. Loose tiles are now solid and the grouting looks fantastic overall. A very professional job. Time was important to me and you started and completed the job as planned. Thanks again, guys. Much appreciated.

We experienced full transparency on the quote too, a 24 hour window for 10% discount, deposit & balance of payment. Nothing left in doubt. No uncertainty here. Only time will tell whether the quality of the waterproof epoxy & low maintenance will prove true. We were assured it will. There is one sad thing though - Daniel delayed taking his lunch until the job was well completed & the epoxy well set! Thanks, Daniel, for your "no compromise" attitude towards excellent results!

He arrived on time each time which is no feat and was much appreciated as we negotiated home and work life. Daniel also did a fantastic job with our bathrooms - each having several issues: water damaged tiles and minor leaks (Causing various flow on effects to ceilings and floors). I highly recommend Daniel. Our bathrooms look great and more importantly are waterproofed and sealed.

The quality of the grouting work was excellent — everything looks clean, precise, and completely refreshed. You can tell they take real pride in their work and pay attention to the small details. What really stood out was going above and beyond! They even did the silicone around my basin at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful touch and made a big difference to the overall finish. Professional, efficient, and genuinely lovely to deal with. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing grouting or sealing work done!
