Need shower rebuild advice in Prahran? We help when a leaking shower has reached the point where a more complete solution may be the better long-term option.
Some showers can be repaired neatly, but others show signs of long-term waterproofing failure, major movement, or deterioration that has gone beyond a simple surface fix.
In Prahran, we often see this in apartments, townhouses, investment properties, and older bathrooms needing maintenance. When the shower condition is more advanced, rebuild advice can be the smartest path forward. If you are comparing options, our main shower rebuild page explains the broader Melbourne service as well.
We consider whether the shower is still a good candidate for repair or whether the problems are more widespread.
We help you understand what a repair can realistically achieve and when a rebuild makes more sense.
The aim is to avoid repeat issues and move toward a more durable shower solution.
People searching for a shower rebuild in Prahran are often dealing with a bathroom that has had ongoing leaks or visible deterioration for some time. In those cases, honest advice matters.
If the shower may still be repairable, we can also point you toward leak repair or regrouting where appropriate. Further reading is available in our guides on leaking showers, cracked grout, and loose tiles.

Excellent job, professionally done. Attention to detail, friendly service, you can't ask for more. The house was brand new in 1995, this is the second job to freshen up the shower, to re-grout and eradicate mould. Many thanks!!!

The space is pretty narrow but they made it feel a lot more open and modern. Tiles are straight, finish is neat, and the drainage works properly now which was our biggest issue before. They were easy to deal with, turned up when they said they would, and didn’t leave a mess behind. Happy with the result.
Peter and Dee did a perfect job re-grouting and sealing two showers. Thanks for all your help!
Thank you for the brilliant work and go extend to replace the seal strip and extra corking, allow the corner become perfect again. Thanks heaps

He arrived on time each time which is no feat and was much appreciated as we negotiated home and work life. Daniel also did a fantastic job with our bathrooms - each having several issues: water damaged tiles and minor leaks (Causing various flow on effects to ceilings and floors). I highly recommend Daniel. Our bathrooms look great and more importantly are waterproofed and sealed.

There was a lot of mould and rotten wood underneath, so they had to remove the shower base and redo the waterproofing properly! It made a huge difference! I've got before and after photos and the improvement is very clear! They also sorted a few cracked tiles in another bathroom as part of a separate shower repair. Everything was done quickly and Daniel was very professional. 5/5 stars!

The previous shower was done badly and ended up leaking into the timber underneath, so we needed it rebuilt properly from scratch. You can tell straight away this one’s been done with a lot more care. The falls to the drain are spot on, it looks clean, and the whole base feels solid. Honestly, such a relief to have it fixed properly by actual professionals. I very much recommend Daniel and Shiny Showers for your shower work :) Thank you Daniel and your amazing team.
A beautiful job by the shiny shower team. Perfect craftsmanship, I am very impressed. It isn't looking like new tiles for our shower floor.
I’m very happy with the results. Loose tiles are now solid and the grouting looks fantastic overall. A very professional job. Time was important to me and you started and completed the job as planned. Thanks again, guys. Much appreciated.
Put on new white grout which has made a huge difference to our shower tiles. Lucky it wasnt a leak as we cant find these tiles anywhere anymore. Daniel did a comprehensive leak detection test to make sure and it put my mind at ease before the job.
