Need shower leak detection in Thornbury? We help narrow down where the moisture is coming from so you can make a better repair decision.
Leak detection is useful when you know there is moisture around the shower but the exact source is still unclear.
In Thornbury, this is common in period homes, family bathrooms, and renovated shower spaces used every day, especially where showers have been repaired before but the underlying issue has not been fully confirmed. If you are comparing options, our main shower leak detection page explains the broader Melbourne service as well.
We look at what you have noticed and where the moisture is appearing.
The goal is to work out whether the likely issue is grout, silicone, waterproofing, or something bigger.
Once the cause is clearer, the next step becomes much easier to plan.

Put on new white grout which has made a huge difference to our shower tiles. Lucky it wasnt a leak as we cant find these tiles anywhere anymore. Daniel did a comprehensive leak detection test to make sure and it put my mind at ease before the job.
I was so impressed with their 1st job, I had to call them to do our ensuite as well. Very happy!
Great service. I was able to book in quickly and they turned up on time fixed my shower hinges and then cleaned before they left. Happy with the final product and saved me from having to get a new shower screen. Will definitely use again if need.
I’m very happy with the results. Loose tiles are now solid and the grouting looks fantastic overall. A very professional job. Time was important to me and you started and completed the job as planned. Thanks again, guys. Much appreciated.
We were very happy with their service. Daniel and Mark were very cooperative, efficient and friendly.

Finding an owner-operator who actually does the work himself rather than passing you off to a sub-contractor is so rare these days, but Daniel treats your home like it’s his own. He just finished resealing and regrouting both of our shower bases with epoxy grout, and the craftsmanship is next-level. The job was completed to such a high standard, and the cleanliness throughout the process was incredible, not a speck of mess left behind. If your shower needs repair, don’t hesitate or risk getting caught out with sub-contractors. Having the owner himself complete the job makes all the difference. Booking Daniel is easily the best decision you can make to get your showers looking brand new again! 🚿✨

What really stood out was going above and beyond! They even did the silicone around my basin at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful touch and made a big difference to the overall finish. Professional, efficient, and genuinely lovely to deal with. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing grouting or sealing work done!

We had a few renos going on but a full bathroom reno was not in the budget. From first in-person consult, to booking via their online system was easy and timely. Daniel came out to do a full regrout with epoxy / re-silicone all completed in a day. I can now shower with ease without mouldy silicone and failed grout! I will definitely use them again for our upstairs bathrooms 😊
A beautiful job by the shiny shower team. Perfect craftsmanship, I am very impressed. It isn't looking like new tiles for our shower floor.
Got the shower regrouted and it’s come up great. The floor looks clean again and the grout lines are sharp. Now the rest of the bathroom looks average next to it haha, might have to get that done too. Good stuff.

Excellent job, professionally done. Attention to detail, friendly service, you can't ask for more. The house was brand new in 1995, this is the second job to freshen up the shower, to re-grout and eradicate mould. Many thanks!!!

The previous shower was done badly and ended up leaking into the timber underneath, so we needed it rebuilt properly from scratch. You can tell straight away this one’s been done with a lot more care. The falls to the drain are spot on, it looks clean, and the whole base feels solid. Honestly, such a relief to have it fixed properly by actual professionals. I very much recommend Daniel and Shiny Showers for your shower work :) Thank you Daniel and your amazing team.
Peter and Dee did a perfect job re-grouting and sealing two showers. Thanks for all your help!

We experienced full transparency on the quote too, a 24 hour window for 10% discount, deposit & balance of payment. Nothing left in doubt. No uncertainty here. Only time will tell whether the quality of the waterproof epoxy & low maintenance will prove true. We were assured it will. There is one sad thing though - Daniel delayed taking his lunch until the job was well completed & the epoxy well set! Thanks, Daniel, for your "no compromise" attitude towards excellent results!

There was a lot of mould and rotten wood underneath, so they had to remove the shower base and redo the waterproofing properly! It made a huge difference! I've got before and after photos and the improvement is very clear! They also sorted a few cracked tiles in another bathroom as part of a separate shower repair. Everything was done quickly and Daniel was very professional. 5/5 stars!
Shiny Shower lived up to their name. Daniel did a great job, and the end result was magnificent. The shower looked brand new, as if it's never been used. Great job!
