Need shower rebuild advice in Kensington? We help when a leaking shower has reached the point where a more complete solution may be the better long-term option.
Some showers can be repaired neatly, but others show signs of long-term waterproofing failure, major movement, or deterioration that has gone beyond a simple surface fix.
In Kensington, we often see this in townhouses, terraces, and family bathrooms with a mix of original and updated finishes. When the shower condition is more advanced, rebuild advice can be the smartest path forward. If you are comparing options, our main shower rebuild page explains the broader Melbourne service as well.
We consider whether the shower is still a good candidate for repair or whether the problems are more widespread.
We help you understand what a repair can realistically achieve and when a rebuild makes more sense.
The aim is to avoid repeat issues and move toward a more durable shower solution.
People searching for a shower rebuild in Kensington are often dealing with a bathroom that has had ongoing leaks or visible deterioration for some time. In those cases, honest advice matters.
If the shower may still be repairable, we can also point you toward leak repair or regrouting where appropriate. Further reading is available in our guides on leaking showers, cracked grout, and loose tiles.

Peter and Dee did a perfect job re-grouting and sealing two showers. Thanks for all your help!
A beautiful job by the shiny shower team. Perfect craftsmanship, I am very impressed. It isn't looking like new tiles for our shower floor.
I’m very happy with the results. Loose tiles are now solid and the grouting looks fantastic overall. A very professional job. Time was important to me and you started and completed the job as planned. Thanks again, guys. Much appreciated.

We had an ongoing shower leak and were quite worried because we couldn’t figure out where the water was coming from. They took the time to properly inspect it and found that the shower screen was leaking. They fixed the problem with regrouting and resealing, and the work was done really well. Everything was neat and professional, and they explained what the issue was and what needed to be done. It’s a big relief to finally have the shower leak sorted. Thank you to the Shiny Shower team for the great work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone having shower leakage problems.

The quality of the grouting work was excellent — everything looks clean, precise, and completely refreshed. You can tell they take real pride in their work and pay attention to the small details. What really stood out was going above and beyond! They even did the silicone around my basin at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful touch and made a big difference to the overall finish. Professional, efficient, and genuinely lovely to deal with. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing grouting or sealing work done!
The boys did a really good job on the shower rebuild. Very grateful to Shiny Shower.
Matt was transparent on the pricing, 10% discount, deposit, balance to pay all made clear. On day of the job, Daniel arrived with materials to protect the carpet, & after the job, wiped down the laminate floor dirtied by his work shoes. Thanks Daniel for respecting our home & go the second mile to delay your lunch to ensure the epoxy sets well, prioritizing results above convenience.

He arrived on time each time which is no feat and was much appreciated as we negotiated home and work life. Daniel also did a fantastic job with our bathrooms - each having several issues: water damaged tiles and minor leaks (Causing various flow on effects to ceilings and floors). I highly recommend Daniel. Our bathrooms look great and more importantly are waterproofed and sealed.
Excellent job, professionally done. Attention to detail, friendly service, you can't ask for more. The house was brand new in 1995, this is the second job to freshen up the shower, to re-grout and eradicate mould. Many thanks!!!
Got the shower regrouted and it’s come up great. The floor looks clean again and the grout lines are sharp. Now the rest of the bathroom looks average next to it haha, might have to get that done too. Good stuff.

We had a few renos going on but a full bathroom reno was not in the budget. From first in-person consult, to booking via their online system was easy and timely. Daniel came out to do a full regrout with epoxy / re-silicone all completed in a day. I can now shower with ease without mouldy silicone and failed grout! I will definitely use them again for our upstairs bathrooms 😊
Daniel did an amazing job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Put on new white grout which has made a huge difference to our shower tiles. Lucky it wasnt a leak as we cant find these tiles anywhere anymore. Daniel did a comprehensive leak detection test to make sure and it put my mind at ease before the job.
Shiny Shower lived up to their name. Daniel did a great job, and the end result was magnificent. The shower looked brand new, as if it's never been used. Great job!

I was so impressed with their 1st job, I had to call them to do our ensuite as well. Very happy!
We were very happy with their service. Daniel and Mark were very cooperative, efficient and friendly.
Very happy with this one. Peter helped make sure the tiles matched the rest of the bathroom, and the niche came up great too. Looks really classy. Thanks guys
